On the Day 3, venture out to uncover the wonders that are located just outside your luxurious hotel. Guests can choose to spend some time in Old San Juan that is the heart and soul of the Puerto Rican island. Founded in the year 1521, the city has been a melting pot of Spanish, Afro-Caribbean, Taíno, and Anglo influences in its history, architecture, music, and gastronomy. The entire area is a well-known UNESCO World Heritage Site, with plenty of restored 16th- and 17th-century Spanish colonial buildings. After taking the tour of Old San Juan, you can dine, shop, or even look to stay in some of these beautiful old structures. One of the main attraction in Old San Juan, and it's a top tourist destination in Puerto Rico are the two forts: El Morro Fort (Fuertes San Felipe del Morro) and Castillo de San Cristobel. Stroll through the well-kept grounds of this national park & fort and just imagine as to what life would have been like here nearly 500 years ago. Discover the dark dungeons, steep walkways, ramps, and tunnels, much of it built in the mid to late 1800s.
It’s the Day 4 of the itinerary, we suggest the guests to explore the tropical rainforest of El Yunque and see-off the day with relaxing. The high adrenaline activities of hiking and swimming in the jungle may wear you out a little, but you’ll recover just fine for the next day’s activities. There are several waterfalls along your drive in El Yunque to stop at and enjoy the splashing water coming at a very high speed. For the best rainforest experience, plan to hike through the rainforest to La Mina Falls, it’s a fairly simple trail and it’s amazingly beautiful. Guests will love jumping into the splash pool of a waterfall amidst natural surroundings in a tropical rainforest.
For the day 5 of our Puerto Rico itinerary, guests can look to bike around San Juan and enjoy the beautiful city from end to end. Biking is a great way to explore San Juan, and in fact it's actually the best city you have ever biked in as it has lots of designated, marked bike paths both alongside and apart from traffic. Commencing at Condado Beach, rent bikes and make your way towards the west direction, going with the flow of traffic until you’re on the Parkside bike paths. Make pit-stops at San Cristobal and El Morro before riding through the Paseo de la Princesa and passing by the Harbor docks. As you come back to the lagoon side, visit the MADMi museum and Jaime Benitez Lagoon Park before you return your bikes.
